Duties/Responsibilities:
· Greets and interacts with customers
· Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise
· Fills customer's bait order
· Maintaining and cleaning of bait tanks
· Sorting live and dead baits
· Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs
· Assist customers with local area and industry questions both in the store and by phone
· Collects payment using the store point of sale system
· Ensure the store is neat, clean, and organized & merchandise is stocked and properly displayed
· Stay up to date with services and products offered here at the shop, as well as become versed in fishing knowledge and techniques to help customers
· Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Reliable and professional with an excellent work ethic
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Excellent sales and customer service skills
· Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store’s point-of-sale system
· Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds
· Basic computer skills required
Education and Experience:
· 18 years and older
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous retail, sales, cashier, or customer service skill preferred
· Saltwater fishing and outdoor recreational experience is a must have
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
