We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and compassionate Neuropsychometrist to join our clinical team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering and scoring psychological test batteries according to standardized instructions and in the standardized manner to evaluate cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, behavioral, and emotional status in order to assist Psychologists and Neuropsychologists in the evaluation process. You will also provide technical support to Psychologists and Neuropsychologists. Our ideal candidate would be able to work full-time between our Rochester, NH and Auburn, ME offices or part-time in our Rochester, NH office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Administer psychological and neuropsychological tests, requested by the neuropsychologist or psychologist, according to standardized instructions and in the standardized manner, and in an appropriately distraction-free test environment.
- Demonstrate excellent ability to multi-task (e.g., managing rapport while managing test schedule and accurate procedures and documenting overall time and breaks and being able to respond in a timely manner to messages from the doctor while still adeptly managing the patient testing process).
- Physically and cognitively multi-task effectively- using a stopwatch for accurate timing while also observing and instructing patient, managing test materials, and documenting responses and making notes.
- Be well versed in the normative procedures and process for administration and scoring of all tests commonly used by NCMA.
- Demonstrate proficiency in learning new tests as necessary.
- Prepare testing materials and forms for examinee/patient and appropriately sequence the tests.
- Score tests, calculate standard scores and process scores appropriately.
- Accurately observe and make written notes about appearance, behavior (motor and otherwise), responses/reaction to tests and the test process, and interpersonal behavior and skills.
- Demonstrate strong skills for developing good rapport with, and communicating effectively and professionally with, patients and families as well as with NCMA staff members.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in psychology or related field preferred. Minimum of bachelor’s degree required.
- Previous experience as a Neuropsychometrist preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all internal and external customers in a professional and caring manner.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and the aptitude to learn others.
- Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
