Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 3 and 4 year old Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational experiences.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning.
- Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a daycare or classroom setting.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques.
- Engage children in activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Monitor and assess children's progress and behavior, implementing behavior management strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive atmosphere for children with disabilities or special needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny/babysitter.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories.
- Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
- First aid certification is preferred but not required at the time of application.
