Duties
- Perform framing, trim carpentry, siding installation, door hanging, cabinet installation, and fixture setup with precision and attention to detail
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials general renovation tasks
- Handle heavy lifting and physical labor necessary for construction site activities while maintaining safety protocols such as power tool safety procedures
- Assist with fabrication and assembly of building components using schematics or technical instructions
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery (if applicable), and fabrication techniques
- Experience in various construction disciplines including framing (wooden and metal), masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, tile laying, flooring installation, drywall finishing (including plastering), caulking, siding installation, and cabinet setup
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices for power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics
- Previous experience in restoration industry projects such as water damage repair or mold remediation is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical plans and schematics accurately
- Some HVOC skills are handy for rerouting AC ducts.
- Hands-on experience with construction painting and fixture installation enhances versatility on the job site
