Scope of Work for Bartender at Sushi Saint
Pay Rate: $11/hour plus tips
Position Overview:
As a Bartender at Sushi Saint Winter Park, you will play a dual role in crafting memorable guest experiences by creating cocktails and providing exceptional table service. This position requires strong knowledge of cocktails, sake, bartending expertise, and serving experience to meet the high standards of service at Sushi Saint.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Interaction
- Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming experience.
- Recommend pairings with dishes and share insights about cocktails.
- Engage guests by answering questions about the menu, including sake, beer, wine, cocktails, and food offerings.
2. Bartending Duties
- Craft innovative cocktails with precision and consistency, adhering to Sushi Saint's recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar.
- Perform proper mise en place for the bar, ensuring readiness for service.
- Monitor beverage inventory, report shortages, and assist in reordering supplies.
3. Serving Duties
- Take food and drink orders promptly and accurately, ensuring all guest requests are met.
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently while maintaining a high level of service.
- Handle payment transactions, including processing payments and balancing cash registers.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, address concerns, and resolve issues promptly.
4. Operational Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the dining and bar areas before and after service.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Participate in staff training sessions and tastings to stay informed about new menu items and beverages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the shift.
5. Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with team members, including the kitchen staff, to deliver seamless service.
- Support fellow team members during busy periods, including running drinks, clearing tables, or assisting with guest needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of bartending and serving experience in a high-volume or fine dining setting.
- Knowledge of cocktails, sake, beer and wine
- Proficiency in creating cocktails and managing bar operations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
