GlenArbor Golf Club is looking for weekend service staff Friday to Sunday, with some weekdays available. Work lunch and dinner a la carte, and banquets. Join a great team and work in a upscale enviornment with a true team effort
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing transactions efficiently and correctly.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine pairings, spirits options, and specialty cocktails, to enhance guest experience.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales while ensuring guest preferences are met with enthusiasm.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues quickly to uphold service excellence.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties when needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and manage guest payments with professionalism.
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or high-volume environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Jonas is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service enhances your ability to upsell effectively.
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is essential for maintaining health standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy service hours.
- Background in hospitality or customer service roles that emphasize guest relations and service excellence is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
