Step into an advanced imaging environment supporting a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center as an experienced CT/PET Technologist. This opportunity features a contract position with a focus on quality patient care across a 492-bed facility, handling both adult and occasional pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Schedule:
- 3x12-hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Qualifications:
- Current ARRT certification (CT specialization required; ARRT-CT)
- BLS certification required
- State license preferred
- Minimum 1 year of relevant CT/PET Tech experience with strong competency in required skills
- Open to first-time travelers with at least 2 years of specialized experience
- Proficient with biopsy drainage, trauma, angiogram procedures; stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with Cerner EMR and GE CT technology
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and PET imaging studies for adult and outpatient pediatric patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced environment
- Float within the main Radiology department as needed, gaining exposure to various imaging modalities and departmental areas
- Maintain a patient ratio averaging four patients per hour, with a focus on safety and accuracy
- Support emergency and trauma cases as required by department protocols
- Participate in hospital orientation and unit-based shadowing during initial shifts
- Commitment to hospital holiday scheduling policy (one major and one minor holiday per policy)
- On-call shifts available on a voluntary basis
