Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units and related mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation; perform preventative maintenance to extend system lifespan.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component repairs or modifications.
- Perform tasks related to HVAC systems, ensuring proper fluid flow and refrigerant handling in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and system diagnostics; complete shift reports promptly.
- Operate a driver vehicle safely for field service visits across various property sites.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or property maintenance settings.
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC systems; familiarity with appliance repair is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for complex HVAC design and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including HVAC processes; understanding of HVAC design principles.
- Skilled in Soldering, and general equipment repair within mechanical systems.
- Experience with field service operations—diagnosing issues on-site efficiently while maintaining safety protocols.
- Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning systems and overall building comfort solutions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable operating specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and welding tools.
