Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to lead and manage our estimating process. This role will work directly with ownership, master plumbers, and field technicians to develop accurate, profitable, and timely estimates while helping build and optimize our estimating systems for long-term growth.
Duties
- Prepare accurate and professional estimates for residential and commercial plumbing projects.
- Review project scopes, service requests, blueprints, specifications, and field notes to determine labor, material, and equipment requirements.
- Perform material takeoffs and quantity calculations as needed.
- Develop detailed customer proposals and quotations that align with company pricing and margin goals.
- Collaborate closely with master plumbers, commercial plumbers, and field technicians to evaluate project requirements and scope.
- Build, optimize, and maintain estimating and quoting software systems.
- Maintain current pricing for materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Monitor estimate turnaround times to ensure prompt delivery to customers.
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
- Support management with reporting, job costing analysis, and estimating process improvements.
Qualifications - Required
- Experience in plumbing estimating, construction estimating, project coordination, service quoting, or a related trade industry role.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, installation methods, and labor requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software platforms.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
Preferred
- 2+ years of plumbing estimating experience.
- Experience reviewing blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, Bluebeam, FastPIPE, Trimble, or similar estimating platforms.
- Residential and commercial plumbing experience.
- Previous field experience as a plumber, plumbing supervisor, or project manager.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
