Job Summary
The Radio Systems Technician is responsible for supporting the companies products and customer projects through Land Mobile Radio (LMR) expertise and technical activity. Under the general direction of our Chief Technology Officer, helps to build and implement communications solutions such as repeater systems, interoperability devices, communications peripherals, and backhaul devices. Works directly with customers and our sales team to understand communication needs, identify solutions to address these needs as part of a team, and works with customers, internal staff, and contractors to implement these solutions. Ability to troubleshoot radio system issues is critical.
This position will also work with our Production Team to build, test, and implement Dark Wolf Ventures products including our interoperability, repeater, and satellite backhaul solutions.
Our team members must be able to meet deadlines and, in some cases, work on tight timelines. Because our clients operate mission critical communications, customer responsiveness is imperative.

Experience
· Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing LMR systems including analog / conventional, digital, trunked, P25, and encrypted systems including infrastructure and end-user systems
· Prefer experience working with multiple manufacturers’ infrastructure and subscriber equipment including Motorola, Harris, and Icom
· Ability to develop code plugs and program repeater and subscriber units
· Ability to test and troubleshoot radio infrastructure and subscriber equipment including receive sensitivity, mod fidelity, etc. in both lab and field environment
· Familiarity with coverage testing techniques
· Ability to assemble and test radio equipment to established specifications/ layouts
· Relevant advanced electronics certification from accredited technical school or community college focused on radio systems design, maintenance, and repair
· Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites for projects
· Familiar with electronic design and theory including the ability to troubleshoot to component level. Ability to remove and replace surface mounted components.
· Prefer previous experience with Radio Over IP, Radio Over LTE, and Radio Over Satellite systems
Physical / Work Environment Requirements
· Ability to stand, kneel, and bend frequently and for extended periods of time.
· Ability to work in tight or confined spaces for extended periods of time.
· Ability to climb access ladders on buildings and in-service accesses or rooftops, and to work on ladders at varying heights and in varying conditions for extended periods of time.
· Upper body strength to lift and carry parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in unpleasant conditions where air contamination, vibration, noise, inclement weather, and unclean conditions exist.
· Ability to communicate effectively and work independently as well as harmoniously with other employees and in teams.
· Willingness and ability to work occasionally work irregular hours, weekends, evenings, and/or emergencies as required.
· Willingness and ability to use personal protective equipment as required.
· Valid driver’s license. Have and maintain acceptable background information, including clean motor vehicle record and criminal history.
· Willingness and ability to pass drug screen.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
