Job Summary
Lincoln Knolls Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including Level I and II trauma centers, emergency medicine, and outpatient care. As a member of the team, you will provide essential patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practices are upheld.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure patient safety.
- Document medical records accurately using EMR and EHR systems.
- Assist with IV insertion, venipuncture, and other clinical procedures.
- Provide care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and post-acute care environments.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Educate patients on health management and disease prevention.
- Support patients with activities of daily living and provide emotional support as needed.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in hospital medicine, emergency room, or urgent care settings preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques and vital sign monitoring.
- Knowledge of medical documentation processes and patient assessment protocols.
- Experience with geriatric care or pediatric intensive care (PICU) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
