NAECO, LLC is a growing manufacturing organization located in Peachtree City, GA, specializing in precision components for aerospace, defense, railway, medical, power grids, and industrial control sectors. We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our comprehensive financial management operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Operations: Oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger operations.
- Planning & Forecasting: Direct the preparation of budgets and ongoing financial forecasts; meeting account deadlines and working the hours required to ensure these dates are met.
- Controls & Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain internal control policies and business processes to safeguard organizational assets.

Responsibilities:
*Preparation and submission of the annual budget and 5-year plan
*Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting
*Handle Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
*Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
*Prepare and publish timely, complete and accurate monthly financial statements
*Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
*Research technical accounting issues for compliance
*Oversee month-end and year-end close process
*Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
*Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, other deductions; ensure timely pay processing new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes; maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
*Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
*Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
*Assist other departments in the understanding of costs that affect the P & L of the organization and assist in driving change to improve the profitability of the organization
*Prepare and present fully loaded cost structure for NAECO
*Additional controller duties as necessary
Job Requirements and Skills:
Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or Assistant Financial Controller
5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Degree in accounting
CPA or CMA preferred
Experience with a manufacturing company preferred
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with creating financial statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Experience/knowledge of processing payroll either direct or through an outside organization
Excellent accounting software experience and administration skills -ERP/MRP experience preferred (we use E-2 software)
Excel - advance level
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The work environment characteristics are primarily an office environment with interaction with employees in both the office and light manufacturing. The physical work environment is primarily sitting and working on desktop programs and files, but will also be standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending, grasping, fingering, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

The hours for the position follow one of two schedules: 1.) 9/80 schedule - work 9 business days in a 2 week period and have off every other Friday: Work schedule runs Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 5:30pm, Every other Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm, Off every other Friday. The lunch break can be shortened from 1 hour to 30 minutes and the end time would be 30 minutes earlier. 2.) Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, 1 hour lunch (or 30 minute lunch and leave 30 minutes early). We offer a family friendly, team-oriented work environment.
