Imboden Creek Senior Living & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Infection Preventionist / Wound Care Nurse.
This position plays an important role in promoting resident safety, preventing infection, supporting strong clinical outcomes, and providing high-quality wound care. We are looking for an RN who is organized, knowledgeable, and comfortable working closely with nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary care team.
Starting Pay: $39.00 per hour
Experience pay is based on verified years of experience:
$0.10 per hour for each year of experience
Up to 20 years of experience
Maximum rate of $41.00 per hour

Oversee and support the facility’s infection prevention and control program
Monitor residents for signs and symptoms of infection
Track, document, and report infection-related data and trends
Educate staff on infection prevention practices, proper PPE use, hand hygiene, and isolation precautions
Assist with infection surveillance and regulatory compliance
Complete wound assessments and provide appropriate wound treatments
Monitor wound healing and update care plans as needed
Maintain accurate wound documentation and measurements
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and wound care
Ensure facility policies and procedures are followed
Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Previous infection prevention, wound care, long-term care, or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment and documentation skills
Knowledge of infection prevention practices and wound care standards
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers
