Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Process sales transactions accurately while upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables and assisting with food handling and preparation as needed
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food service and food preparation activities
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Experience in fine dining environments is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
