Description:
The Motor Coach Operations Manager oversees daily operational performance for our charter and line-run motor coach division. This role leads dispatch, driver scheduling, fleet readiness, safety compliance, and customer service execution. The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-driven leader who ensures safe, reliable, and exceptional service delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day motor coach operations to ensure safe, on-time, and high-quality service.

Oversee dispatch functions, including trip assignments, driver scheduling, and after-hours on-call rotation.

Maintain accurate bus availability, out-of-service reporting, and spare bus utilization.

Partner with maintenance leadership to monitor fleet readiness and escalate urgent mechanical issues.

Communicate with drivers regarding trip updates, policy expectations, and incident response.

Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, state regulations, and internal safety standards.

Review and approve driver hours, payroll, and timekeeping accuracy.

Coordinate charter logistics, customer requirements, and special service needs.

Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of drivers and dispatch staff.

Lead operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Serve as point of contact for escalated customer issues and service disruptions.

Requirements:
- 3–5 years of transportation operations experience; motor coach or school bus preferred.

Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and hours-of-service requirements.

Proven leadership experience with frontline transportation teams.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive operational demands.
