The Labor Relations Manager is responsible for leading and executing the organization's labor relations strategy within a highly unionized, complex healthcare system. This role serves as the primary subject-matter expert on collective bargaining agreements, grievance administration, labor negotiations, and union-management relations across multiple bargaining units.
The Labor Relations Manager provides strategic counsel to senior leadership, Human Resources, and operational leaders on labor matters; ensures consistent interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements; and leads the daily labor relations function. This role has direct functional leadership responsibility for a Labor Relations Specialist and plays a critical role in labor strategy, contract administration, and dispute resolution.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field Required
Master's Degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or related field or Juris Doctor Degree Preferred
Experience
5 years experience in labor relations, preferably in a unionized healthcare environment Required
Previous Experience working with internal and external union representatives and supporting the collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration processes Required
Previous experience in healthcare or large, multi-site organization Preferred
Licenses
Prof in Human Resources Preferred or
SHRM - CP Preferred
Sr Prof in Human Resources Preferred or
