Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by supporting their growth, independence, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in behavioral therapy, experience working with children, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using evidence-based practices.
- Collect and record data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and communication skills.
- Support clients in developing social, communication, and behavioral skills through engaging teaching strategies.
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation, including progress notes and care plans, following HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and modify individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment by managing behavior effectively and implementing behavior management techniques.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines regarding medical records and client information.
Skills
- Proven experience with behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation, and care plan development.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to client progress effectively.
- Excellent teaching skills with patience and adaptability to meet diverse client needs.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors.
- Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and support for individuals with special needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $29.50 per hour
