Overview
Alterative Surface Grinding is seeking a full-time, experienced Surface Grinder to join our team in Brunswick, OH. The desired candidate will have good mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate manual grinding machines.
- Read blueprints and job orders for product specifications.
- Skilled in utilizing gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
- Produce parts in accordance with dimensions, tolerances, number of parts to be ground, material specifications, grinding stock, and due dates.
- Expertise in selecting grinding wheels, speeds, and feed rates based on requirements, along with knowledge of metal properties and abrasives.
- Complete setup, tooling and adjustments of machines.
- Verify conformance of first piece production.
- Diagnose and resolve tooling problems and machine malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of precision grinding experience.
- High school diploma or GED minimum.
- Mechanical and math expertise.
- Operate effectively with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to quality, speed and accuracy.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Attention to detail is a must.

- Physical stamina and strength to handle materials and operate machinery effectively.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
