The Lighting Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and packaging lighting fixtures and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This hands-on position requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a commitment to producing high-quality products safely and accurately. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
· Assemble lighting fixtures, components, and subassemblies according to specifications and production schedules
· Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
· Perform electrical wiring and component installation using hand and power tools
· Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with company standards
· Test lighting fixtures and troubleshoot basic assembly or wiring issues as needed
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Package completed products for shipment while ensuring protection and accuracy
· Assist with inventory organization and material handling as required
· Follow all safety procedures, quality procedures, and company policies
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production or quality concerns
· Support continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing process
· Perform additional duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
· Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely
· Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and basic technical drawings
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
· Self-motivated and dependable with a strong work ethic
· Basic computer skills are a plus
· Willingness to learn new processes and techniques
· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
· Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Education & Experience
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Prior manufacturing, assembly, or electrical assembly experience preferred but not required
· Vocational or technical training related to manufacturing, electronics, or assembly is a plus
Work Environment
· Manufacturing and production facility environment
· Exposure to tools, machinery, and electrical components
· PPE may be required depending on work area and task
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
