Fleet Maintenance Technician / Diesel Mechanic
We are seeking a dependable Fleet Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of vocational trucks and support equipment.
This position is ideal for someone with experience working on commercial trucks, construction equipment, heavy equipment, concrete trucks, utility fleets, or similar vocational equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot truck-mounted equipment, including hydraulic and automated operating systems.
- Repair hydraulic hoses, cylinders, valves, pumps, and fittings.
- Diagnose electrical issues including switches, sensors, wiring, relays, and control systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service.
- Respond to occasional roadside service calls to return equipment to operation.
- Complete repairs efficiently while minimizing equipment downtime.
- Document repairs and communicate maintenance needs with management.
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Commercial trucks
- Heavy equipment
- Concrete mixer trucks
- Vocational trucks
- Utility fleets
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Electrical diagnostics
- Welding and fabrication
- Mobile equipment repair
Qualifications
- Experience maintaining commercial trucks or heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- CDL or willingness to obtain one is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting and solving mechanical problems. This is not primarily an engine rebuild position. Much of the work involves diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems that keep vocational trucks operating safely and efficiently.
Pay: $29.00 - $38.00 per hour
