Assistant Director
Let’s Be a Kid Childcare Center is a full-service private-Licensed childcare facility. Serving the community since 2008. Conveniently located in the County of Henrico minutes from Richmond City limits. Inspired by a Reggio Emilia & Montessori approach to early childhood education. The company focuses on serving children from ages birth through 5 years.
The Assistant Director will play a key role in supporting the director in managing all aspects of the childcare center's operations. This includes staff supervision, program development, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children. The assistant director will collaborate with the director, parents, and staff to ensure high-quality care and educational experiences for children.
Essential Functions:
- Assist Director with day-to-day operations
- Assist in the recruitment process by networking with potential candidates and scheduling interviews
- Help to maintain accurate attendance records and payrolls
- Help to maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children and families
- Maintain a clean facility by keeping it sanitary and safe for children and families
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that goals are met and objectives are achieved
- Monitor financial reports to ensure profitability goals are being met
- Monitor enrollment numbers to ensure quality candidates are being attracted to Let's Be a Kid Daycare
- Ensure that all staff members are complying with COVID-19 regulations regarding health and safety
- Maintain communication with prospective candidates by offering job opportunities as needed
- Assist Director with special events as needed including school field trips, parent evenings, etc.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Skills:
- Knowledge of child development including knowledge of research on children’s cognitive development, play skills, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) required; interpersonal skills & positive attitude required (preferred)

Pay: $47,840.00 - $52,000.00 per year
