Position Summary
As a PRN Dental Assistant with StaffHealth, you'll provide exceptional chairside support while helping dental teams deliver outstanding patient care. Working alongside licensed dentists and dental hygienists, you'll assist with clinical procedures, maintain a safe and organized treatment environment, and help ensure every patient has a positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures
- Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental treatments
- Take and process dental X-rays (as permitted by state regulations)
- Prepare patients for treatment and provide post-procedure instructions
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection prevention protocols
- Stock, organize, and maintain dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or registration (if required by state)
- Current CPR/BLS Certification preferred
- X-Ray Certification (if required by state)
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
