Johnson City Kubota is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Service Writer to join our service team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized in a fast-paced environment, and helping customers keep their equipment running smoothly.
As a Service Writer, you’ll be the communication link between customers, technicians, and the parts department. You’ll help manage repair orders, schedule service work, and provide excellent customer service to homeowners, farmers, contractors, and commercial customers throughout the Tri-Cities area.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and assist service customers in person and over the phone
- Open and manage repair orders accurately
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate shop workflow
- Communicate repair updates, timelines, and estimates to customers
- Work closely with technicians and parts staff to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Write and submit warranty claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Process customer paperwork, invoices, and service documentation
- Help create a positive customer experience from check-in to pickup
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Dependable attendance and professional behavior
- Experience in a dealership, automotive, agriculture, or service environment is a plus—but not required
Bonus Points If You Have
- Knowledge of tractors, mowers, RTVs, or agricultural equipment
- Experience working with repair orders or scheduling
- Experience with warranty writing and warranty claim processing
- Familiarity with Kubota or similar equipment brands

- Monday – Friday 8-5
- Saturday 8-2 As Scheduled, Rotation during off season

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
