Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in food service, with the ability to oversee kitchen operations and ensure high-quality meal preparation. As a Lead Cook, you will play a vital role in menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining kitchen standards while leading a team of cooks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Cook and prepare food following production guidelines and standardized recipes.

Set up the workstation with all the needed ingredients and equipment.

Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.

Safely use all food utensils including knives.

Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.

Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meats, vegetables, and other foods.

Arrange, garnish, and portion food following established guidelines.

Properly store food by following food safety policies and procedures.

Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.

Maintain excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.

Follow Company safety policies and procedures including food safety and sanitation.

Ensure the security of company assets.

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision required.

Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.

Food Safety Certification required.

Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.

Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
