Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, structured, and organized Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, maintains firm and appropriate boundaries with clients, and is committed to providing high-quality support in a behavioral health treatment environment. This role is responsible for ensuring client safety, supporting daily programming, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to a therapeutic and well-organized treatment setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision, support, and encouragement to clients.
- Conduct routine observation rounds and safety checks.
- Administer and document medications accurately.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and recovery-focused groups.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and shift logs.
- Monitor client behavior and report concerns to the clinical team.
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold program rules and expectations.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and client orientations.
- Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts as needed.
- Audit charts, medication records, and program documentation for compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility environment.
- Participate in team meetings, shift handoffs, and required trainings.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support client care and program operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, residential treatment, or healthcare settings preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain firm professional boundaries while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
