Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate routes effectively. The Truck Driver will operate standard automatic transmission tractors with primarily 53 foot van trailers. Both OTR and Regional routes available.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles and handling materials.
Skills
- Minimum of 24 months experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation systems.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-off trucks.
- Proficient in loading and unloading cargo safely using appropriate equipment.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail in maintaining records and conducting vehicle inspections.
- Proficient with ELD software.
