Our client is seeking a dependable and motivated Building & Grounds Maintenance Worker to support daily outdoor maintenance operations and assist with the development and setup of a growing warehouse operation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining clean and organized properties, and has experience operating lawn care and light industrial equipment. The Building & Grounds Maintenance Worker will play an important role in helping maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of both outdoor grounds and warehouse areas.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, general maintenance, or construction-related work. This role requires the ability to work independently, follow safety procedures, and operate equipment responsibly. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine groundskeeping and general property maintenance
- Assist with warehouse setup and support ongoing warehouse organization
- Operate lawn care equipment including lawn mowers, weed eaters, and chainsaws
- Operate light machinery such as tractors, bush hogs, and skid steers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of outdoor spaces, work areas, and warehouse areas
- Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
- Remove debris, trim vegetation, and maintain landscaping appearance
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures and operating guidelines
- Assist with additional maintenance and labor duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, warehouse support, or general labor preferred
- Experience operating tractors, skid steers, bush hogs, or similar machinery required
- Familiarity with chainsaws and lawn maintenance equipment strongly preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and maintenance knowledge
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, or changing weather conditions
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout the shift
- Ability to safely operate equipment for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry materials as needed
