Job Description
Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy is looking for a part time, barn assistant to join our team one day a week on Tuesdays with a 2nd day opening in a couple of months. The Barn Assistant will be responsible for the overall care of 16 horses (2 of which are minis) - turn out, stalls, feeding, and waters. The shift starts by 7:30 am (but can be earlier) and continues until you finish the required duties. Typically around 4-5 hours depending on how fast you work. Located in Northeast Philadelphia at a therapeutic riding facility. Experience preferred but not required. Pay is a flat rate.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a farm environment preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
