Job Description
ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
We are seeking a seasoned, adaptable Systems Engineer Level 2 specializing in system architecture and privacy compliance to join our elite team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will take full technical ownership across the entire systems engineering lifecycle—from extracting CONOPs and building DoDAF architectures to enforcing complex Intelligence Community privacy rules. You won't just draft static requirements documents; you'll serve as the primary bridge between operational end-users, software development teams, and senior Government leadership. You will lead system integration, manage configuration boards, allocate performance budgets, and architect SOA and cloud-native solutions that align strictly with legal and technical privacy compliance standards. If you excel at transforming complex operational needs and privacy mandates into hardened, executable engineering baselines, you’ll fit right in with Team Nyla.
The annual base salary range for this role is $171,000-$202,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

IC Privacy Compliance: At least 3 years of experience in the legal or technical aspects of Intelligence Community Privacy Compliance.
NSA Systems Architecture: Minimum 2 years of direct experience working with NSA systems architectures and enterprise design patterns.
Requirements Management & Configuration Control: Demonstrated ability to derive lower-level requirements, lead CCB resolutions, manage system baselines, and ensure full requirements traceability.
Information Assurance & RMF Integration: Experience developing derived security requirements (confidentiality, integrity, availability) and supporting Certification & Accreditation (C&A) / JCIDS processes.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management, PLUS 14+ years of professional systems engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 19+ years of hands-on technical systems engineering and architecture experience in lieu of a degree.

Quantitative Performance Modeling: Experience conducting quantitative analyses for non-functional system areas such as Reliability, Maintainability, Vulnerability, and Survivability.
Timeline Analysis & Data Threads: Proficiency in generating time-line analysis diagrams and end-to-end operational scenarios (threads).
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Planning: Experience reviewing and providing input to program WBS, work packages, and Integrated Master Plans (IMP).
