2-4 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, technical support, or similar roles, with demonstrable expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Comprehensive understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, routing, switching, and network security.
Experience with enterprise-grade networking hardware and software, such as Cisco, Juniper, HP, or similar platforms, including configuration, maintenance, and firmware updates.
Proven ability to use network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios) for performance analysis, fault detection, and incident resolution.
Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation, including network diagrams, configuration records, and incident reports.
Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting and the capacity to handle urgent, high-impact issues calmly and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of expertise.
Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaboration and ongoing professional development.
Relevant certifications strongly preferred, such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent industry credentials.
Willingness to participate in on-call schedules, provide after-hours support as needed, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with current best practices for network security, compliance, and disaster recovery planning.
Ability to sit for majority of an 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
