Position Overview
Moersch Hospitality Group is seeking a creative, organized, and highly motivated Marketing Assistant to support marketing efforts across our portfolio of hospitality brands, including Tabor Hill Winery, Round Barn Winery & Estate, Round Barn Brewery & Public House, and our wholesale and retail divisions.
This is a hands-on junior-level position for someone with 2–3 years of experience in marketing, creative services, or brand communications. The Marketing Assistant will help execute integrated campaigns that increase awareness, drive reservations and event attendance, support product sales, and strengthen each property’s connection with guests and the surrounding region.
Approximately 75% of the role will focus on marketing campaigns, email marketing, website and e-commerce updates, point-of-sale promotions, and regional outreach. The remaining 25% will support social media content and execution.
Primary Responsibilities
Marketing Campaigns and Brand Support — 75%
- Assist the Creative and Marketing Director with planning and executing marketing campaigns across all Moersch Hospitality Group brands.
- Help coordinate campaigns supporting restaurant promotions, wine and spirits releases, festivals, concerts, seasonal programming, private events, and other guest experiences.
- Build, schedule, and distribute email marketing campaigns, including promotional emails, newsletters, event announcements, and guest follow-up communications.
- Maintain email lists, audience segments, campaign calendars, and performance reports.
- Update products, images, descriptions, pricing, promotional offers, and landing pages within Shopify.
- Assist with the creation and management of promotions, menus, customer communications, and marketing integrations within Toast POS.
- Create and adapt marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Cloud, including digital graphics, event materials, menus, signage, advertisements, and sales support materials.
- Maintain brand consistency across print, digital, restaurant, retail, and event communications.
- Coordinate campaign deadlines, creative assets, approvals, vendor needs, and property-level deliverables.
- Support regional outreach to tourism organizations, chambers of commerce, hotels, restaurants, event organizers, media partners, and community organizations.
- Assist with press releases, media lists, community calendars, event listings, partnerships, and local promotional opportunities.
- Coordinate the ordering, production, and distribution of printed marketing materials.
- Collect campaign results and assist with reporting on email engagement, website traffic, ticket sales, reservations, retail sales, and other performance indicators.
- Maintain organized digital files, photography libraries, brand assets, campaign materials, and marketing calendars.
- Visit company properties regularly to collect information, coordinate campaigns, support events, and ensure promotional materials are accurate and current.
Social Media Support — 25%
- Assist with creating, scheduling, and publishing content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
- Write on-brand captions and promotional copy for events, culinary offerings, wine and spirits, music, and guest experiences.
- Capture basic photo and video content at company properties and events.
- Edit and resize creative assets for social media using Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Monitor comments, messages, reviews, and guest engagement, escalating service concerns when appropriate.
- Maintain the social media content calendar in coordination with the Creative and Marketing Director.
- Track basic social media performance, including reach, engagement, follower growth, link activity, and campaign conversions.
- Support influencer visits, content collaborations, giveaways, and community partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in marketing, creative services, communications, social media, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Experience creating and executing email marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with Shopify, Toast POS, or comparable e-commerce and point-of-sale platforms.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, brands, and stakeholder requests simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
- Basic photography, video capture, and content-editing abilities.
- Working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and current social media practices.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with property leaders, culinary teams, event teams, and outside partners.
- Availability to occasionally work evenings or weekends to support events, launches, and content needs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between company properties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience within hospitality, food and beverage, wine, tourism, events, or lifestyle brands.
- Experience with email platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or a comparable system.
Familiarity with Adobe, Canva, Google Workspace, Meta Business Suite, and project-management platforms.
- Understanding of basic digital marketing analytics and campaign reporting.
- Existing familiarity with Southwest Michigan tourism, media, businesses, and community organizations.
