About the Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on, safety-minded Electromechanical Technician to support the assembly, maintenance, testing, and readiness of Solaris power equipment. This role is essential to ensuring our electrical distribution equipment is properly maintained, accurately tested, and rental-ready for our customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn advanced electrical testing skills in a manufacturing and industrial environment. Essential Functions
- Perform basic mechanical fabrication tasks including measuring, cutting, drilling, and using hand tools to support equipment assembly and repair.
- Install and remove breakers in electrical panels and switchboards following proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Prepare equipment to be rental ready, including cleaning, performing minor repairs, conducting touch-up painting, replacing gaskets, and installing new filters.
- Properly torque fasteners, ensure torque values meet specifications, and apply appropriate torque markings.
- After training, perform electrical testing using a DLRO (Digital Low-Resistance Ohmmeter) and a Megger insulation resistance tester.
- Complete equipment checklists accurately and thoroughly to support quality assurance and documentation requirements.
- Assist with general equipment upkeep, shop organization, and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe area in compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth equipment flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to assisting in plant organization.

Experience/Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical work preferred (industrial or manufacturing setting a plus).
- Basic computer skills for completing checklists, documentation, and training modules.
- Experience with electrical testing tools (DLRO, Megger) helpful but training will be provided.
- Basic proficiency with hand tools, mechanical assembly, and fabrication tasks.
- Fundamental understanding of electrical components (breakers, panels, switchboards) preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow technical instructions.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and checklist discipline.
- Safety-conscious mindset with willingness to follow all Solaris and OSHA procedures.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
