Duties
- Dig trenches, prepare construction sites, and move materials using manual tools or machinery.
- Clean and maintain job sites by removing debris and ensuring safety equipment is in place.
- Help with the setup and dismantling of equipment, including shoring, supports, and excavation tools.
- Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel using picks, rakes, and shovels.
- Operate light equipment and assist with heavier machinery under supervision.
- Perform manual tasks like lifting, loading, unloading, and sorting construction materials.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations while on the job site to prevent accidents.
- Assist in pipe installation and other utility-related work, including setting up equipment for excavation.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and according to project specifications.
- Maintain positive working relationships with the project team, including subcontractors and supervisors.
Qualifications
- Participate in maintaining safety standards and adhere to company policies.
- Previous experience in construction is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and construction materials.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Must be able to take direction from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
