Scot Forge is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchasing Clerk to support our Supply Chain team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the timely replenishment of MRO spare parts, indirect materials, and related services that keep our operations running efficiently.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, maintenance support, storeroom operations, tool crib functions, or parts room administration. It is also an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing or recently completing a Supply Chain Management education and looking to gain valuable industry experience while launching a career in procurement and supply chain management.

The Purchasing Clerk supports daily purchasing and inventory replenishment activities to ensure critical materials and services are available when needed.

Process purchase orders for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials, indirect supplies, and services.

Manage supplier communications, purchase order status updates, and delivery schedules.

Obtain, review, and track supplier quotations.

Assist with invoice resolution and coordinate with Accounting and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.

Manage returns, credits, repairs, and replacement orders.

Monitor inventory replenishment requirements and communicate potential supply risks.

Prepare reports on purchasing activities, open orders, inventory levels, and purchasing exceptions.

Support efficient procurement processes that help maintain uninterrupted operations.

High School Diploma or GED.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Associate Degree or coursework in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.

Two (2) or more years of experience in purchasing support, procurement, inventory control, maintenance support, storeroom operations, tool crib functions, or parts room administration.

Experience using ERP and/or CMMS systems; JD Edwards experience is a plus.

Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
