Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Optometrist who has a passion for patient care and a desire to practice full-scope optometry in a collaborative setting. In addition to strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages
- Diagnose and treat visual system conditions, diseases, and disorders
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Licensed in Connecticut to practice optometry
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy
- Ability to perform eye exams and diagnose ocular diseases
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
