Responsibilities
The Module Production HOD is responsible for the leadership and guidance of the Module Production Department, including establishing goals and objectives, planning the department’s operating budget, ensuring compliance with and enforcing policies, implementing corrective actions, leading cost reduction efforts, maintaining personnel headcount, and evaluating Team Member performance. Demonstrate positive leadership and development of subordinates to ensure they are properly trained and aligned with company and departmental objectives Plan short and long term objectives for manufacturing ensure the objectives are properly administered Represent our Production Team with customer meetings as needed to maintain positive relations and respond quickly and appropriately to all requests and countermeasures Collaborate with other departments to identify, evaluate, determine, and implement processes, policies and procedures designed to strengthen plant cross-functional capabilities. Prepare and maintain operational annual budgets for the department Support and ensure compliance with all applicable programs, both internal and external, to include, but not limited to IATF, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and CTPAT Prepare and control headcount planning in cooperation with Process Engineering and HQ standards Coordinate, train, and manage Continuous Improvement teams to achieve department goals in productivity, quality and safety goals Coordinate corrective action activities to ensure root cause analysis and proper implementation Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental goals meeting OSHA and company standards Create and maintain a world class environment through proper application of 5S Ensure departmental compliance with all company policies and procedures Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years
- Managerial Experience: 8+ years
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) required, MBA desired
- Degree Field: Industrial Engineering or related field Equivalent
- Experience/Education: 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing/automotive field
- Communication Skills: Advanced Foreign Language Required: No. If yes, what language? N/A
- Foreign Language Skill Level: N/A
- Mathematical Skills: Advanced
Certified/Technical Skills
- ASQ Certification
- Lean Six Sigma or equivalent
Additional/Other Requirements
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office Products
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Positive Management Leadership experience
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- JIS/JIT Experience
