Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Cashier/Customer Service Representative, where you'll be the friendly face that welcomes customers and ensures smooth retail transactions. Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Manage cash register operations, including cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Conduct product demos and upselling to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or Smoke Shop store environments is preferred
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or training new staff
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies
- Experience in cashiering, cash handling, and grocery store operations is advantageous
