Pay: $20.00/hour to start | $21.00/hour at 30 days | $22.00/hour at 90 days | $23.00/hour at 180 days

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Maintenance Technician to join a skilled property maintenance team in Golden Valley. This hands-on role assists with completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting daily operations to keep properties safe, clean, and fully functional. Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the trade while building a long-term career in maintenance and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete maintenance service requests as assigned
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with residents, vendors, and coworkers
- Assist in the make-ready process for vacant units
- Maintain inventory and work within established expense limits
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and record updates
- Support the monitoring of building systems and respond to maintenance needs
- Assist with special projects and repairs as directed by management
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance
- Perform groundskeeping tasks such as trash pickup, sweeping, and light landscaping
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for work performed
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Must pass a background check upon job offer
- Provide a basic tool set and demonstrate safe use of hand and power tools
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Desire to obtain CPO License and Special Boiler License
Working Conditions:
Work is performed primarily at residential properties and facility sites. The role involves frequent standing, bending, lifting, twisting, and physical activity throughout the day. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and operate tools and maintenance equipment safely. Occasional overtime or after-hours work may be required.
