Responsibilities
- Operate garment care machines including pressing machines, dry cleaning equipment, and laundry washers and dryers with precision and safety.
- Perform garment finishing tasks such as sorting, pressing, folding, preparing items for pickup and quality inspection to ensure garments meet high standards.
- Handle heavy lifting of laundry loads safely and efficiently, adhering to manual handling protocols.
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing equipment, sorting laundry materials, and organizing supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries about laundry services and garment care options.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to the use of cleaning detergents, garment care machines, and other equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Previous dry cleaning, hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable for understanding guest expectations.
- Strong knowledge of garment care techniques including dry cleaning, garment pressing, and fabric care.
- Proficiency in operating pressing machines, laundry equipment, and garment finishing tools.
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, safety procedures for handling chemicals, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy loads or operating machinery.
