Position Summary
The Front Desk / Administrative Assistant serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient office experience. This position works closely with physicians and administrative staff to support daily operations, patient scheduling, and front office coordination.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage physician schedules and appointments
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Register patients and verify all necessary information
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls appropriately
- Enter and maintain patient information within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Process patient payments and maintain accurate transaction records
- Assist the billing department with charges and payment processing
- Maintain an organized and professional front desk area
- Provide administrative support as needed to ensure smooth office operations
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior medical office experience preferred
- Strong organizational and file management skills
- Accurate and efficient data entry abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with administrative support or personal assistant duties preferred
- Strong proofreading and attention-to-detail skills
- Knowledge of clerical procedures and office equipment
- Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus
