Suncoast Custom Pools is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day execution of our pool construction and renovation projects. This individual will serve as the operational backbone of the company, ensuring projects move efficiently from contract to completion while delivering an exceptional client experience.
The Operations Manager will coordinate scheduling, vendor relationships, permitting, production timelines, customer communication, team accountability, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Project Operations & Production
- Oversee all active projects from contract execution through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address delays, challenges, and bottlenecks.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Suncoast's quality standards.
- Conduct regular production meetings and project status reviews.
Client Experience
- Serve as a primary point of escalation for client concerns and project-related issues.
- Ensure consistent communication with clients throughout the construction process.
- Monitor client satisfaction and implement strategies to improve the customer experience.
- Support project handoffs, final walkthroughs, punch lists, and project closeout procedures.
Team Leadership & Accountability
- Lead and support project managers, field personnel, and administrative staff.
- Establish clear expectations, priorities, and accountability measures.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Business Operations
- Monitor project budgets, change orders, job costing, and profitability.
- Review operational metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist ownership in forecasting workload, staffing needs, and production capacity.
- Support inventory management and vendor negotiations.
- Help identify operational efficiencies that improve profitability and scalability.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Develop, implement, and refine company SOPs and workflows.
- Ensure CRM, project management, and operational systems are maintained accurately.
- Create reporting dashboards and KPI tracking systems.
- Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes to support company growth.
Vendor & Trade Partner Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Ensure vendors meet company standards for quality, responsiveness, and professionalism.
- Coordinate scheduling and material procurement to avoid project delays.
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of operations, construction management, project management, or related leadership experience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading teams and driving accountability.
- Proficiency with CRM and project management software.
Preferred
- Experience in pool construction, residential construction, outdoor living, or related trades.
- Knowledge of permitting, scheduling, construction sequencing, and vendor management.
- Experience with budgeting, job costing, and operational reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Operations Management, or related field.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, performance incentives, benefits package, and advancement opportunities.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
