Primary Equipment used: Macintosh computers, PC’s including all relevant Software. Agfa CTP with workflow. Proof making equipment such as Epson 9900.
Duties include operations of the prepress department. Must be detail-oriented with layout and proofing skills, and have experience with pre-press print production. Customer service in person and on the phone. Must be fluent in applications including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Pitstop and Impositioning Software. Must also be able to work with Microsoft Word and Excel to export pdf files. Must be able to work with multiple projects and be able to perform within deadlines. Must possess understanding of 4-color process and spot colors. Skills required include: Working with Files in Creative Suites, Pitstop, Imposition Layout, Variable Data, Will teach Plate-Making Operations and Epson Proofing. Experience with Fiery Rip a Plus.
Minimum Qualifications: Two or more years of progressively responsible experience in prepress operations and with desktop publishing equipment and software ; a technical or vocational degree in graphic arts or management helpful, but not required. Strong organizational skills and efficiency in processing of files necessary. Continuing desire for personal growth and development of leadership and managerial abilities.
