Field Sales Representative – Permian Basin
Location: Midland/Odessa, Texas
Position Summary
TanMar Companies is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and results-driven Field Sales Representative to support business development efforts throughout the Permian Basin.
This position is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer relationships, and promoting TanMar's full line of rental assets, workforce housing solutions, water transfer services, water solutions, and communications services.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable spending the majority of their time in the field visiting customer locations, drilling and completion sites, offices, and industry events.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers throughout the Permian Basin.
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, field visits, and customer referrals.
- Promote and sell TanMar's Rental, Water Transfer, Water Solutions, and Communications services.
- Conduct customer visits, site assessments, and equipment demonstrations.
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and service agreements.
- Work closely with operations, dispatch, and management teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Follow up on leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Attend industry networking events, trade shows, customer meetings, and safety events.
- Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor offerings.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity reports.
- Assist with account collections and customer service issues as needed.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals and revenue targets.
- Travel throughout Midland, Odessa, Pecos, Monahans, Big Spring, Hobbs, and surrounding Permian Basin areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications.
- Oilfield service industry experience strongly preferred.
- Existing customer relationships within the Permian Basin are highly desirable.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
