Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service through active listening and helpful assistance
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling opportunities, and answering questions about store merchandise
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is clean, safe, and well-merchandised
- Manage inventory by stocking products efficiently and conducting stock checks as needed
- Handle phone inquiries professionally following proper phone etiquette and direct calls appropriately
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to maximize sales potential
- Maintain knowledge of store products, including grocery or specialty items, to assist customers effectively
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is essential for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and customer service excellence enhances performance
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and stock management practices is beneficial
