Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and have a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration. As an RDA, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office.
Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during dental procedures, including but not limited to preparing treatment rooms, handing instruments, and maintaining patient comfort.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by dentists, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment for procedures, maintaining infection control standards and guidelines.
- Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, obtaining medical histories, and explaining treatment plans and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including dental charts, treatment notes, and billing information, in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Schedule patient appointments, manage the dental office's appointment calendar, and communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up care.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as answering phones, responding to patient inquiries, and processing insurance claims.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dental procedures, and preventive dental care to promote optimal oral health.
- Collaborate with other dental professionals and office staff to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program and current registration as a Dental Assistant (RDA) in [insert state or region].
- X-ray certification and experience in taking and developing dental X-rays.
- Proficiency in dental software and computer skills for maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
