In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to create high-quality multimedia content while managing production schedules, equipment, technical requirements, and digital media assets. Position Summary
The Video Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end production of video content, including concept development, script review, filming, editing, and post-production. This position supports a variety of organizational initiatives through engaging visual storytelling and works collaboratively across departments to deliver professional-quality content for multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Editing
- Develop, review, and edit scripts for video production projects.
- Capture high-quality video footage for both staged and unscripted productions.
- Edit video content using graphics, visual effects, transitions, and other post-production techniques.
- Produce professional video content optimized for multiple digital platforms and audiences.
- Serve as on-camera talent when appropriate.
- Coach employees and subject matter experts to improve on-camera presentation and communication.
Production Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to deliver effective video productions.
- Plan and manage production schedules, project timelines, and deadlines.
- Coordinate lighting, audio, camera, and recording requirements to ensure production quality.
- Facilitate all aspects of the production process from pre-production through final delivery.
Equipment Management
- Operate cameras, editing systems, audio equipment, lighting systems, and related production technology.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install basic video production equipment.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment purchases, upgrades, and replacements.
- Modify equipment configurations and production systems to meet project needs.
Digital Media & Continuous Improvement
- Organize, maintain, and manage digital media assets and video libraries.
- Support photography and other visual content initiatives as needed.
- Develop a strong understanding of company products, applications, industry trends, and customer needs to enhance content effectiveness.
- Research and implement emerging technologies, production techniques, and AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and content quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in video production sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, shoot, edit, and deliver professional-quality video content.
- Strong knowledge of video production workflows, equipment, and editing techniques.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Multimedia Communications, Film Production, or a related field.
- Experience creating motion graphics, animated explainer videos, or 2D animation.
- Professional photography and photo editing experience.
- Ability to travel minimally to moderately as business needs require.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and related content production software.
- Strong understanding of video production equipment, techniques, and best practices.
- Experience with video editing, motion graphics, visual effects, and post-production workflows.
- Ability to create engaging visual content across multiple media platforms.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Adaptability and curiosity in learning new technologies, production methods, and AI-enabled creative tools.
