Description:
ELD classes are currently held on-site in the mornings and early afternoons, five days a week. Follow and coordinate the curriculum with other ELD instructors. Must have the ability to organize and plan lessons including gathering all necessary materials. Must be able to develop and implement work on a timely basis including operating under deadlines. Other duties include evaluating, recording, and reporting student progress to assess English proficiency. Being able to implement the principles and methods of teaching English to preschool, elementary, and junior high students is required. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to teach, counsel, and work with Japanese-speaking students.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree is required, plus a minimum of three years of teaching experience. Candidates must have excellent writing and communication skills. Successful candidates for this position will need to be versatile in teaching language skills to Japanese children at different proficiency levels.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a part-time position 20 classes per week
Training, Observing, Meeting, and admin work will be paid $21/hour
