Now Hiring: Licensed Customs Broker / Brokerage Manager
Location: Wood Dale, IL
We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker / Brokerage Manager to join a growing team in Wooddale, IL
This role will oversee customs brokerage operations, ensure compliance with CBP regulations, and support import processing, client communication, and team operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customs entry operations and brokerage compliance
- Review and file customs declarations and entry documents
- HTS classification and duty determination
- Ensure compliance with CBP, FDA, USDA, EPA, and other regulations
- Support clients with trade compliance guidance and import regulations
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies
- Handle audits, post-entry corrections, ISF, protests, and compliance matters
- Train and support brokerage staff
Requirements:
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License (required)
- 2–5+ years of customs brokerage / freight forwarding / trade compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, Incoterms, ACE/ABI systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EAR/ITAR, FTZ, bonded warehouse operations
- Experience handling customs audits and compliance programs (C-TPAT, ISF, etc.)
