Open position for a postdoctoral fellow in the Spaulding Lab at the MDI Biological Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine.
Position Description
The Spaulding Lab uses C. elegans to investigate mechanisms and functions of subcellular organization, with a particular focus on the nucleolus. We are especially interested in understanding how disrupted subcellular organization contributes to age-related forms of neurodegenerative disease.
Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated record of scientific productivity and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Special Position Requirements and/or Preferences
- Prior experience working with C. elegans is preferred.
- Ability to present research at conference and seminars.
Work Conditions
- May be required to lift, move and transport laboratory related equipment.
- May be required to work with hazardous materials.
