ABOUT THE CONGREGATION
Holy Cross Lutheran Church is a worshipping community of around 130 members and friends. We offer two worship opportunities each Sunday, a blended service at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m. We also offer seasonal worship opportunities during Advent and Lent. We have a thriving small group ministry that supports and encourages members and friends while exploring a wide variety of topics each fall and spring.
We are energized by service with and among the Athens community. Some of our projects include the Interfaith Hospitality Network, the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, Athens Nurses Clinic, Food2Kids, and Lutheran Services of Georgia. We are also committed to national and global initiatives such as Bike & Build, Relay for Life, Lutheran Disaster Response, ELCA World Hunger, and Lutheran World Relief.
